"The Ashepoo Phosphate/Fertilizer Works (Ashepoo Phosphate) site is located at the western end of Braswell Street in Charleston, South Carolina on the Ashley River. From 1882 until the 1970's, several companies produced phosphate fertilizer using phosphate rock mined nearby and sulfuric acid produced on-site. ...
