Summary
In 1867, when the Kiowa gather with other tribes in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, to sign peace treaties with the U.S. government, a U.S. Army bugler is murdered and his bugle is found by Kiowa chief White Bear. When the army charges White Bear with the crime, Tay-bodal, a healer among the Kiowa, must investigate before the Kiowa go to war to release White Bear
