Summary
This publication, as of August 2016, contains 4164 veteran and patriot burials in Virginia, and each individual is called a patriot. Genealogical information is included in the publication, namely the names and birth and death dates and places of the patriot's parents and the names of his spouses and her parent's birth and death dates. There is also a very brief summary of each patriot's major noteworthy accomplishments after the war was over. To this end, a review of some obituaries, estate records and marriage records was deemed necessary and conducted. The various sources used for this additional information are listed in Appendix E
